About Grinspeed Motorsport

Grinspeed Motorsport was set up by Stephen Brindle in 2006 to provide mechanical services to a number of front line motorsport teams in the UK and Europe. Before this Stephen worked at M-Sport the home of the Ford WRC team. He worked as a Rally Technician completing two full championships working on both Roman Kresta and Marcus Gronholm’s cars. He also worked closely with the tyres on the car, developing a good understanding of the cuts and compounds used.

Before gaining his own premises in 2009, Stephen worked at TDI North where he gained his passion for Japanese cars. Since going out on his own he has established himself as one of the North West’s premier Japanese tuning centres. He has ran race cars for customers including securing the Britcar Class 3 Championship with a Jas Motorsport EP3.

In 2010, Stephen decided to move Grinspeed Motorsport to its current premises which is a modern workshop in Leyland, Lancashire. He takes great pride in keeping clinically clean and presentable, as anyone who has visited would agree. From this workshop, Grinspeed can supply all of the services that you could need to maintain and upgrade your Japanese car. The workshop is fully equipped to offer a full range of servicing, maintenance and performance upgrades all in house.

Grinspeed Motorsport also takes pride in being a small company that is able to provide its customers with the ‘personal touch’ that you sometimes lose when dealing with large companies.

Grinspeed Motorsport deal direct with all of the major UK suppliers of Japanese parts and upgrades, allowing them to offer a full range of tuning products at highly competitive prices.
